The Beautiful Struggle

Whatup ya'll. If you haven't copped the new Talib Kweli album The Beautiful Struggle you need to go out and do that right now. To be honest, it's not hotter than Quality, but it's at that level. A few tracks, such as "Black Girl Pain" (which features Jean Grae), "Ghetto Show" (featuring Common), "Broken Glass" and "I Try" are instant Kweli classics. With the exception of "We Got the Beat," the rest of the songs are weak at worst, mediocre at best. Overall the CD is definitely worth the money, however raised expectations after Quality have been let down.

Alberto Gonzalez as the new Attorney General? Hmm, I admit I don't know a great deal of information about Gonzalez, except that he was painted as a far right-wing conservative when President Bush tried to nominate him for a judicial position. I'm still pissed about George W. Bush still being the president.

Where have you gone, Howard Dean?
